Saying goodbye to old friends

Two of my best friends left Vancouver yesterday. One for Taiwan and the other for Waterloo, Ontario. And here I am, with a little over one more week to go until I leave for Japan myself.

Why is it that we chose this school year to be the year that we part from the regular routine we had for 10+ years and decide on change? Well, mostly boredom. And maybe the whole shebang of being the freshman at university is over. Or perhaps the fact that were turning 20 next year and the pressure of doing something exciting and adventurous in our twenties is getting to us.
